All classes start with guided meditation and progress into poses that serve as holding containers for a mindfulness practice. "Mindful Flow" classes include equal parts engaged movement and passive stillness, while "Yin Yoga" classes include ONLY the passive and still long-held floor stretches that are so useful for nourishing connective tissues, tending to the low back, and enlivening the body's energetic pathways. "Insight Yoga" is offered as a series and goes further in depth with meditation and psychospiritual approaches to addressing the body-heart-mind. In all classes, I keep lights low, poses simple, and instruction potent yet minimal to allow you to sink in to an embodied awareness.
