I endeavor to meet life, and help others meet life, with a sense of vitality, peace, and purpose.
To that end, and in a friendly and down-to-earth manner, I teach methods from yogic tradition, Buddhism, and spiritual psychology that nourish the body, heal the heart, and train the mind.
In a given class, workshop, retreat, or one-on-one coaching session, I might weave in the following practices:
YIN/YANG YOGA: Still, deep stretches are complemented by a flowing sequence that warms and strengthens the body, promoting physical, energetic, emotional, and mental balance
PRANAYAMA: Deliberately pacing and patterning your inhales and exhales affects your nervous system, decreasing feelings and effects of stress, and stabilizing blood pressure and mood
MEDITATION: The cultivation of mindfulness and compassion enhances stability and open-heartedness, enabling you to let go of struggle and engage with life as it is, even amidst challenging circumstances and conditions
PSYCHOSPIRITUAL INQUIRY: In longer workshops, retreats, and coaching sessions, time spent contemplating, journaling, and discussing life lays bare our capacities, challenges, and values...expanding self-awareness, revealing possibility, and encouraging a sense of agency
